Distribution to academic institutions
I am a student at Queen's University who recently came across your magazine when visiting Indigo. I noticed that you provide subscriptions to a number of Canadian university campuses. I found your material to be intriguing and believe that the Queen's community would benefit from a similar subscription opportunity that other universities have.

I'm the VP Academic for the UBC Medicine Class of 2006. I greatly enjoy reading WellnessOptions. I find it well edited and very informative. I just noticed the caption on the back that says you provide the journal to students at several Canadian educational institutions, and I'm wondering what my school needs to do to have WellnessOptions provided to the Medical and Dental students here?

Editor's note:
WellnessOptions' mandate is to disseminate well-researched and reliable health information from a variety of medical perspectives, so that our readers can make informed choices on health matters. Our goal is to encourage and facilitate meaningful dialogue between patients and health providers, as well as among health professionals with different backgrounds and training.
Students at several universities in Canada receive our magazine following requests from faculty members. During the academic year, we ship each new issue of WellnessOptions to a faculty member at participating universities. The faculty then redistributes the magazine to each student enrolled in the corresponding health program. We are grateful for the assistance and active participation of faculty members at these universities.
Please make arrangement with the Dean or a member of your Faculty to send us a letter indicating the number of copies required and the liaison person's name and address. We consider it an honour and a privilege to provide WellnessOptions to the next generation of health providers.
Heart Matters Issue
Your publication is phenomenal in that each issue has very comprehensive health and wellness information in it. It is a joy to receive and a resource to review for information on various health issues. The issue on the heart is out of this world. February was Heart Month, and the magazine was the one thing that really caught my attention, reminding me that the #1 killer of women is heart disease.

Back Issues
I have just finished reading my first issue of WellnessOptions, issue no. 11. I am so impressed with your publication! Is there any way I can purchase back issues of your magazine?
Keep up the good work.

A limited number of back issues are still available and can be purchased by contacting info@wellnessoptions.ca or 1-866-222-WELL. For a complete listing of back issues, please refer to the Editorial Index. We thank the many readers who have ordered complete sets or copies of back issues.
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
Excellent magazine - best thing in the Globe and Mail; great section on SAD (June/July 2002 issue).
Could you cover human growth hormones at some point?

Editor's note:
Hormones and growth hormones in relation to aging were discussed in the March/April 2002 issue. We might revisit that again when we discuss life cycles later this year. Many readers have assumed that WellnessOptions is a magazine published by the Globe and Mail. In fact, we are an independent magazine published by a small Canadian publisher, WellnessOptions Publishing Inc. We have distributed introductory sample copies of WellnessOptions to subscribers of the Globe and Mail on a rotational basis. Out of the 6 issues published each year, a subscriber to the newspaper may receive one to two complimentary issues of WellnessOptions. This maybe the reason why you have missed the earlier issue.
Back issues
I enjoyed the WellnessOptions that was delivered to my home through the Globe and Mail. I read the magazine from cover to cover and save them for future reference. I have referred to several articles and I do loan them to immediate family.
In order to continue reading your excellent articles, I wish to subscribe. Please send me the November 2002 issue.
Keep up this exceptional publication.

Is it possible to purchase back issues of your magazine? I would like to buy one copy each of the June/July 2002 and the Aug/Sept 2002 issues.
Up to now, I've been receiving the magazine with the Globe and Mail newspaper, but now I plan to subscribe, so I don't miss any more issues.

I think your magazine is wonderful. I have received two issues as the Globe and Mail inserts, and intend to subscribe so that I don't miss future issues. Are back issues available?

R. Edgar

While visiting Toronto, I discovered WellnessOptions magazine. It's just wonderful! I'm wondering if I can purchase back issues for 2001?
I work as a psychiatrist in Brockville. Not only do I think it will keep me up-to-date on allopathic trends but also I'm very interested in other traditions and alternative approaches. Besides, I'm sure my patients will enjoy it too!
