Lillian Chan has over 30 years of experience in journalism and editing. She has established editorial direction for several publications. She has also served as a Governor and Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Governors at Simon Fraser University.

Hilda A Donhoffer, MD, FRCPC

Hilda Donhoffer is a physician and medical biochemist with extensive laboratory experience. She was the laboratory director of the Wellesley Hospital, assistant professor at the University of Toronto, the former chair of laboratory medicine, and life long member of the Ontario Medical Association. Presently, she is on courtesy staff at St. Michael's Hospital.

Michael F Filosa, PhD

Michael Filosa has been a faculty member at the University of Toronto for more than 30 years. He has published many articles on his research in cell biology.

Manny W. Radomski, PhD

Manny Radomski is the former director general of Defence Research and Development Canada (formerly the Defence and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine, National Defence Canada). He is also professor emeritus in the Faculties of Medicine and Physical Health and Education at the University of Toronto. He has published extensively in the areas of environmental stress, sleep, growth hormone, and exercise.

Y Michael Chan, PhD, FRSC CChem (UK), FACB

Y Michael Chan is a biochemist specializing in laboratory medicine. Michael obtained his PhD in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Toronto. He has worked in research and medical laboratories in Montreal and Toronto, and he was the Head of Clinical Biochemistry at the Queen Mary Hospital and The University of Hong Kong. His research interest is on metabolic diseases, toxicology, and the optimal use of medications.

Stuart MacLeod, MD, PhD, FRCPC

Since January 2003, Stuart MacLeod has been the Executive Director, British Columbia Child & Family Research Institute, Vice President for Research Coordination and Academic Liaison, Provincial Health Services Authority, and Assistant Dean (Research) and Professor of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia.

Stuart MacLeod spent 14 years at the University of Toronto (pharmacology, clinical biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine and pediatrics), and held hospital appointments at the Toronto Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, and the Addiction Research Foundation. In 1987, he became Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and in 1992, the founding director of the Father Sean O'Sullivan Research Centre at St. Joseph's Healthcare, Hamilton, a position he held until June 2002.

His main research interests are in clinical pharmacology, adverse drug reactions, drug policy, and optimal drug use for children, as well as in international health and medical education.

Moses Wong graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States. He is an award-winning art director and designer specialized in corporate branding, annual reports, editorial and web-interface design.

Michael Audet, BA, BCom, BEd

Michael Audet holds three degrees from the University of Toronto, in Commerce, Religious Studies, and Education. He enjoys independent music recording and copy-editing.

Doris Cheung, DDS, MSc Pharm

Doris Cheung obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario. She is also a registered pharmacist with a master's degree in pharmacy from the University of Toronto. She has extensive experience in hospitals, retail drug stores, and drug information call centres. She is currently practicing in private dental clinics in the Greater Toronto areas.

Stanley Coren, PhD, FRSC

Stanley Coren is a Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He received his doctorate at Stanford University and has published over 300 reports in professional scientific journals. His research includes studies on sleep, human vision and hearing, effects of birth stress, creativity, behaviour genetics, and human-canine relationships. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. The best-seller books that he has written include Sleep Thieves, The Left-hander Syndrome, The Intelligence of Dogs, and The Pawprints of History. He is regularly seen on TV programs such as Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, and the Today Show in Canada and the US.

Erika Ebbel

Erika Ebbel is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology majoring in Chemistry and minoring in music. She is currently attending Boston University Medical School in the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences in Analytical Biochemistry as a PhD candidate.

She became interested in isolating natural antiviral products from an herb at aged 12. Her project led to her involvement with many multinational companies and institutions. She was the recipient of a number of statewide, national and international science awards.

In 2002 Erika founded the non-profit WhizKids Foundation, whose mission is to promote student interest in mathematics and the sciences. WhizKids has been setting up science-oriented programs across the country. Erika Ebbel was Miss Massachusetts 2004 in the Miss America program.

Yee Jee Tso

Yee Jee Tso is a professional actor and freelance writer based in Vancouver.

Lucia Weiler, BSc

Lucia Weiler is a graduate of the University of Toronto specializing in nutritional sciences and food chemistry. With a background in food product development and related regulations, she is a nutrition communications professional with extensive experience in consumer packaged goods. She is the president of a consulting practice which focuses on nutrition marketing and education and regulatory affairs related to foods and beverages.

Michael Zitney, MD

Michael Zitney received his training at the University of Toronto. He is currently the director of the Headache and Pain Relief Centre in Toronto. He practises a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management combining conventional and complementary treatments.
